Drew Hyun is the Founder and Pastor of Hope Church Midtown, as well as the Founding Pastor of Hope Church NYC, a family of diverse churches in and around NYC. Drew has also co-founded the New City Network, a network of urban churches that value multi-ethnicity, Spirit-filled ministry, emotional health, and mission.
Drew graduated from UC Berkeley in California with a major in rhetoric. He later went on to graduate from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Massachusetts.
He has gone on to preach in many different contexts, both in the United States and abroad. His particular passion is for community and for the transformative power that community brings. He now lives in New York City with his lovely wife Christina, and their two children, David, and Avery. His most restful sabbath involves family, sports, and naps.
Cathy lives in midtown with her husband, son, cat and two dogs! Prior to serving at Hope, Cathy was on staff at Journey Church NYC as a campus teaching pastor.
In addition to full-time church ministry, Cathy has a diverse background, having performed on the Broadway stage, worked as a professional canine behavior consultant, and owned a business.
She is a graduate of 10K Fathers Worship School in Atlanta, holds a BFA in Music/Vocal Performance from the University of Missouri and currently finishing a Master of Divinity at Northern Theological Seminary. Cathy is a licensed minister with the Evangelical Covenant Church and a speaker at multi-denominational women’s events in the Northeast.
Melody has lived in NYC most of her adult life and enjoys all the diversity the city has to offer, including the food, the people and the culture.
Melody has a Bachelor's degree in Economics and a Master's in Business Administration. She started her career as a technology consultant. After taking a long sabbatical to raise her four children with her husband William, she is now changing careers to become a Marriage and Family Therapist. She is currently pursuing her Master's and plans to practice as an MFT in the near future.
Melody has served on the Board, lead women's ministry, and served on prayer teams at several Manhattan churches. She loves to spend time with her family, run and bike in Central Park, read, and travel.
ALPHA & YOUTH DIRECTOR
Native to Southern California, Lupe moved to New York to attend school at Marymount Manhattan College. She recently graduated and received a BA in Psychology with a double minor in Forensic Psychology and Sociology. Within the coming years, she plans to get a Master's Degree in Social Work and explore her passion for criminal justice reform.
Lupe is the product of someone investing in her when she was a high schooler and she is so excited to be able to do that for the youth in NYC. She hopes to use her student leadership and church ministry experience to help build and cultivate a culture of deep and authentic relationships.
In her spare time, she can be found reading tons of books, listening to music, and continually searching for cool, new and fun things to explore in the city.
Kansas City native, Crystal O’Malley is in New York studying Fashion Merchandising & Retail Management. She graduated from Park University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Marketing.
Over the years Crystal has grown significantly in her passion for children. She spent several months of her life working with children with incarcerated parents which played a large part in fostering her passion for working with children. Her continual passion and skills with children have led her to her position at Hope Midtown.
In her free time, she enjoys exploring the city, watching netflix, and eating pizza!
Michael Dunbar has recently moved to the city from Memphis Tennessee. He is a worship leader, musician and techie. He has played music for various churches and denominations in addition to being a worship songwriter and producer. As the son of an ordained minister, he has had a lifetime of experience of working in the Church.
Michael attended the performing arts school Visible Music College in Memphis, TN where he earned a certificate in Modern Music Ministry with a concentration in Songwriting.
He was born and raised in Missouri and spent his childhood living in all parts of the state as his family ministered to different congregations. Michael has been interested in music and ministry since a very young age, and has gone on to play worship music, volunteer, and serve in vocational ministry positions for various churches, denominations, and camps across the country over the past 20 years.
Originally from Hong Kong, Winnie and her husband moved to New York in 2002 to start their business in the city. Winnie and her husband both live in midtown with their two children and their cat! They joined the Hope family in 2016!
Winnie enjoys navigating city life as a parent, and loves exploring many cultural food options. Most of all, Winnie loves to get away with her family to some really quiet places.
Andrea was born and raised in Lima, Peru. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Business and worked in Lima as a Brand Manager. She is currently completing a Master’s in Intercultural Studies. Her desire is to integrate her skills and passions in the fashion industry to serve those in need, especially women & children.
Andrea loves to spend time with her friends, family, and her new husband, Piero! Her favorite things are baking, working out, or just being in nature.
Piero was born and raised in Lima, Peru. At age 18, he moved to the U.S. where he received his B.S. in Business Administration from Nyack College. He then went on to complete his MDiv from Alliance Theological Seminary, and a ThM from Princeton Seminary.
While in the United States, Piero has been involved in various intercultural ministries focusing on holistic healing prayer. His passion is for the global church to grow in unity and identity through Christ’s holistic gospel.
He enjoys worship through music, traveling, and spending time with his new wife, Andrea! Piero & Andrea now call NYC their new home.
Stephanie Kim is a native New Yorker with a passion for youth development and mentorship. Stephanie graduated from Rutgers University with a major in Sociology and a minor in Women's & Gender Studies. She gained youth work experience through Americorps, the Peace Corps, and DREAM in East Harlem.
Steph feels called to create an environment where youth feel belonging, love, and freedom to be a kid. She hopes that through that, youth and their families will also come to know Christ. She loves children of all ages, but has a special place in her heart for middle schoolers, who have taught her the power of building strong relationships and that there is always room for fun.
Steph enjoys reading, learning others’ love languages, drinking bubble tea, and watching movies with friends.

Bishop Timothy Wynn is a church-planting practitioner with a heart for church multiplication. Tim has proven to find ministry opportunities in places where others mainly find problems. Over the last 10 years Tim has pastored, grown, and started nearly 50 new churches. The experiential knowledge gained on his journey has proven to be significantly useful as he continues to activate influencers by legitimizing authority, and clarifying first steps for unexpected people in marginalized places. He has graduated from Mid-Western Baptist Theological Seminary with a degree in Christian ministry. He has also continued his education with 2 masters programs – entrepreneurship and organizational leadership – from the University of Valley Forge.
Tim has a passion for meeting people where they are, identifying where they want to go, and then helping them to get there. He’s married to Jeneva and they share 3 precious daughters together. Tim’s love for Jesus, family, and ministry has helped to shape a firm foundation to help others. Tim has traveled the country and various parts of the world consulting, mentoring, and coaching pastors and churches in some of the hardest to reach environments. His personal desire is to inspire and motivate people to move forward!
HUB TEAM MEMBER
Craig Fee is working with HUB as a trainer and coach for micro churches and missional communities. Craig practices missional community as a part of a house church in Queens. He is also a partnering professor with Alliance Theological Seminary and Faith Bible Seminary where he combines his passion to teach with his love for small group ministry. He challenges ministry leaders to reflect on the purposeful and practical workings of the church ministry and other organizations. Craig has spent four decades starting, organizing, managing, training and leading house churches and small groups.
