The annual Don’t Walk By winter outreach is starting soon! Started in 2008 by the Rescue Alliance, which includes our Hope for New York friends, Don’t Walk By is a way for our church to care for our homeless neighbors living on the street.
Don’t Walk By usually happens in February but is moving to three Saturdays between March and April. Volunteers are needed to walk the streets of New York City to connect with homeless neighbors and offer them resources.
During the Lenten season, as you also reflect on ways to pray, serve, and give, we hope you will take time to help our neighbors feel seen and heard.
Please join our church to care for our Downtown [Union Square/Chelsea] neighbors on Saturday, April 2! Various volunteers are needed, so sign up with your Community Group, friends, and family today.
Note: Register HERE for the April 2 outreach date, as well as on this registration page so we know how many volunteers from Hope Midtown to account for. In case April 2 does not work for you, you are welcome to register for any of the other weekends on your own or with friends.
