Our Vision Statement

Hope Church exists to lead a family of diverse churches into a transforming relationship with Jesus and a community of faith.

Our Method

We hope to live out this vision through six main ways:

  1. Home Groups - These are gatherings where you can build community with 5-12 people who meet in homes, share meals, discuss matters of faith, and support one another through prayer. If you are new to Hope Church, this is a great first step in getting to know our community better.

  2. Discipleship Groups - These are high commitment gatherings of 3 people who plan on meeting regulary at least 12 times over 6 months.  You will read and reflect on Scripture together and keep each other accountable in the faith.

  3. Missional Communities - We believe that church is much more than a Sunday gathering and that God calls us out into the streets to serve our community and our city.  These are opportunities to partner and serve with other organizations and non-profits that are serving the needs of the common good.

  4. Learning Communities - These are opportunities for us to invest in the passions and gifts that God has given us to explore topics that relate to acquiring new creative skills.  As much as we'd love to serve, sometimes we don't have the necessary skills or training to do good work in our communities.  This is a way for us to gather with other Manhattan folks in learning how to do this better.

  5. Sunday Gatherings - These are weekly gatherings for us to celebrate life and faith together as an entire community through singing, prayer, communion, art, and listening to stories shared from the Bible.

  6. Church Planting - We want to be open to living out our community-life in other NYC neighborhoods by planting other churches.
