Ladies!  You are invited to this fun and informative event where the integration of fashion and faith will be our topic!  We will have food, networking and a great interview presentation with Fiona Dieffenbacher from Parsons School of Design (check out her bio below)!  Hope you can join us and feel free to invite a friend!

Fiona Dieffenbacher is an Assistant Professor of Fashion at Parsons School of Design with over twenty years of experience spanning industry and academia. She has held several leadership positions within the School of Fashion - most recently as Program Director, BFA Fashion Design (2011-18) she successfully led the program though the development and implementation of the new curriculum. From 2007-11, Fiona held the position of Director of External Partnerships, where she managed a large range of projects including Coach, Louis Vuitton, Swarovski, and LVMH.

An alumna of the BFA Fashion program at Parsons, Fiona also holds an undergraduate degree in Fashion and Textiles from the University of Ulster in the UK. From 1998- 2005, she ran her ready-to-wear label Fiona Walker that sold to select retailers across the U.S and Asia and was featured regularly in WWD, The New York Times, Harper’s Bazaar, InStyle and New York Magazine, among others.
Her three-year long research project “Dress and Emotion,” investigated clothing as a means of identity and culminated in an exhibition at the Aronson gallery in February 2016. Fiona recently completed her MA in Fashion Studies at Parsons and her thesis, entitled Enclothed Transcendence proposes an integrated fashion- soul-dress model of embodiment and identity that seeks to bridge the fields of fashion, faith, philosophy and material culture.

A second edition of Fiona’s textbook Fashion Thinking: Creative Approaches to the Design Process (Bloomsbury) will be published in October 2020.
